Personal:

I am 26 years old. I am the Production Coordinator for all visual communications for Kiawah Island Real Estate. I've been a runner since high school, and I have a competitive nature that should explain my high mileage. I challenge myself to accomplish what I never imagined I could do, and I try to encourage myself and others to push their limits. I'm usually late to parties and social gatherings, since I have to get the run in first...(but luckily, I have great friends who acknowledge my routine). I suffered a bad case of plantar fasciitis March of 2010, and I picked up cycling/spinning while I recovered. Surprisingly, I totally loved it. I only ran on a whim or on weekends, or on vacation days when my gym was closed. This fall, I finally got back into the swing of things and started racing again. I'll try to update my races and runs more frequently. I'd like to be where I was 2 years ago....12 miles a day...I mean...what?!?! =)

This ended up being a a sprint workout of sorts. I was forced indoors due to rain and coldness, so I had to dodge a stupid walking group on the track. I really wasn't in the mood for that...but when all was said and done, it ended up being an okay workout (though I was hating every minute of it!).

Major foot pain today. MAJOR. Going out of town for the weekend, so Saturday will be a much needed day of rest for my aching feet.

Had to stop after 5. Either pulled my achilles or strained it after over-compensating due to plantar fasciitis pain. Taking a breather for about 2 weeks to make sure I recovery fully. Taking up biking. Not fun, but no strain on the arch, achilles, or calf. So we'll see. I was supposed to run the Cooper River Bridge 10 K Saturday, March 27. Oh well.
