Personal:

I am 26 years old. I am the Production Coordinator for all visual communications for Kiawah Island Real Estate. I've been a runner since high school, and I have a competitive nature that should explain my high mileage. I challenge myself to accomplish what I never imagined I could do, and I try to encourage myself and others to push their limits. I'm usually late to parties and social gatherings, since I have to get the run in first...(but luckily, I have great friends who acknowledge my routine). I suffered a bad case of plantar fasciitis March of 2010, and I picked up cycling/spinning while I recovered. Surprisingly, I totally loved it. I only ran on a whim or on weekends, or on vacation days when my gym was closed. This fall, I finally got back into the swing of things and started racing again. I'll try to update my races and runs more frequently. I'd like to be where I was 2 years ago....12 miles a day...I mean...what?!?! =)

Freakishly cold in Charleston. I'm glad to have an indoor exercise option. Also, I don't believe in global warming. A week of 30° weather in Charleston is a good argument in opposition!  Brrrrrrr

There was a REALLY obnoxious running group on the track tonight. So rude, no running etiquette whatsoever. It ended up being more of a sprint workout dodging these people for at least half an hour during the middle of my run.

I think the New Year's resolutioners might have already called it quits! Or maybe they did their workouts earlier since they likely had MLK day off from work. I'm crossing my fingers that they're gone!

Yes. 16 miles on the track. 96 times around. I should've just added the extra 4 laps to make it a solid 100. I broke it down though, so I didn't realize until I was done that the number was so high. We had an office birthday celebration yesterday, so I blame it on the sugar high!
